Galvanised, Medium Weight, Plain Ended Tubing to BS 1387

We offer 5 different tube sizes which are to be used in conjunction with the vast majority of stocked products.  Standard sizes are:

 

  • Size 5 - 26.9mm Outside Diameter (20mm Nominal Bore)

To suit products: Key Clamps, Butt Weld Elbows

  • Size 6 - 33.7mm Outside Diameter (25mm Nominal Bore)

To suit products: Key Clamps, Rota Clamps, Expanda Lock Internal Tube Connectors, Ball Standard Handrailing, Hollow Steel Balls, Toe Board Adaptors, Butt Weld Elbows

  • Size 7 - 42.4mm Outside Diameter / (32mm Nominal Bore)

To suit products: Key Clamps, Rota Clamps, Scaffold Fittings, Quick Handrail Railing Kits, Expanda Lock Internal Tube Connectors, Ball Standard Handrailing, Hollow Steel Balls, Toe Board Adaptors, Butt Weld Elbows, Gate Hinge Assembly,

  • Size 8 - 48.3mm Outside Diameter (40mm Nominal Bore)

  • Size 9 - 60.3mm Outside Diameter (50mm Nominal Bore)

The size to be selected should be determined by the intended purpose of the construction (eg handrail, guardrail, racking etc).  With the larger, more robust, sizes being particularly suited to heavy duty applications.  

 

It should also be considered whether the construction will have any load bearing requirements (i.e. racking) or if it is required to conform to any relevant British Standards (BS) / European Normatives (EN) such as a Key Clamp handrail etc.

 

Alternative tube sizes / specifications (such as Light / Heavy Wall, Self Colour, Threaded Ends, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, SHS, ERW) are available on request.
